É um Núcleo de Relações Étnico-Raciais, de Gênero e Sexualidade. O NUREGS é um centro de pesquisa busca congregar acadêmicos/as da UEPG (Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa - www.uepg.br) e outras universidades, professores/as, ativistas e interessados em discutir as relações étnico-raciais, de gênero e de sexualidade, com vistas a construção de propostas pedagógicas que auxiliem na elaboração de políticas públicas e na implementação de ações que visem à desconstrução do racismo, estereótipos e preconceitos que se fazem presentes no cotidiano escolar e universidades.   Trata-se de uma proposta que buscará auxiliar na construção de uma educação democrática e mais igualitária. Para tanto, a proposta abarcará três temáticas básicas: as relações étnico-raciais (essas se desdobrando no estudos afro-brasileiros e nos estudos indígenas) e as relações de gênero e de sexualidade. O NUREGS tem também como objetivo integrar professores(as), alunos(as) e comunidade e possibilitar o  acesso a publicações, cursos, palestras e outros eventos atrelados a proposta do NUREGS. OBJETIVOS ·    Possibilitar o embasamento teórico-prático aos professores para ser incorporada no currículo escolar a discussão de relações raciais, da diversidade étnico-racial e identidade na Educação Básica e no Ensino Superior. Fortalecimento de pesquisas e estudos sobre desigualdade racial na educação. · Colaborar com o processo de formação continuada dos professores e refletir sobre como raça/racismo foi construído historicamente e socialmente e como o racismo pode ser desconstruído. · Possibilitar informações para a melhora do processo de ensino/aprendizagem em sala de aula a partir de reflexões sobre raça/racismo, diversidade étnico-racial, identidade, branquidade, embranquecimento, racismo institucional, estudos críticos de raça e anti-racismo. ·  Discutir os documentos oficiais tais como: Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs), Lei 10639/2003 e 11.645/08, que alteram artigo 26 A da LDB/96, estabelecendo Obrigatoriedade do Ensino de História e Cultura Afro-Brasileira, Africana e Indígena na Educação Básica pública e privada. ·  Possibilitar a reflexão e a construção de práticas pedagógicas que visem à quebra de estereótipos e preconceitos concernentes às relações de gênero e de sexualidade no currículo, universidade e no ambiente escolar.		NUREGS is the Núcleo de Relações Étnico-Raciais, de Gênero e Sexualidade (Centre for Racial-Ethnic Relations, Gender and Sexuality). NUREGS is a research centre which seeks to gather together academics from the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG - www.uepg.br) and academics from other universities, and teachers from Elementary and Secondary/High School, activists who are interested in discussing ethnic-racial relations, gender and sexuality with a view to constructing pedagogical proposals that assist in the preparation of public policies, as well as implementing actions to deconstruct racism, stereotypes and prejudices that are present in schools e universities. This is a proposal that seeks to assist in building education that is democratic and more egalitarian. To this end, NUREGS has three basic themes: ethnic-racial relationships (with particular reference to Afro-Brazilian studies and Indigenous studies); gender relations, and sexuality. NUREGS also aims to integrate teachers, students and the community and to produce and share publications, courses, lectures and other events related to these themes. OBJECTIVES · Provide a theoretical and practical basis for teachers to incorporate discussion about race relations, ethnic-racial diversity and identity into the school curriculum in elementary and higher education. Implementation of research and studies about race inequality in education. · Collaborate with the process of continuing training for teachers and to consider how racism was socially and historically constructed and how race/racism can be deconstructed. · Provide information to improve the teaching/learning process in the classroom through reflections on race/racism, ethnic and racial diversity, .identity, whiteness, whitening, institutional racism, critical race studies, and anti-racism. · Discuss official documents such as the National Curriculum Parameters (PCNs), Law 10639/2003 and 11.645/08, amending Article 26 of the LDB/96, and which established mandatory teaching of Afro-Brazilian, African and Indigenous history and culture in public and private elementary education. ·  Enable reflection and the construction of pedagogical practices that aim to break stereotypes and prejudices concerning gender relations and sexuality in the curriculum, uniersity and the school environment.
